Integrated in VisualTour.Com® To Create CAMPBELL, CA and CORAL SPRINGS, FL - May 18, 2000 - E-commerce imaging leader, MGI (TSE:MGI) and real estate virtual tour ASP (Application Service Provider) and ZOOM Alliance Partner, VisualTour.com®, today announced a technology licensing agreement that will use MGI's ZOOM Server technologies to deliver a turnkey solution for real estate agents. For the first time, real estate agents can now quickly and easily create, post and host a comprehensive online tour of a property using any digital camera. VisualTour.com's® self-serve solution creates tours with multiple photos and detailed listing information, and is much faster and cheaper for agents than using outside service bureaus. "We've used a virtual tour service bureau before but found it costly, limited, in terms of what we could show about the property or surrounding neighborhood, and often too slow in that some of the properties were sold long before the tour actually got posted on the Internet," said Sharon Simms, a top agent for Arvida Realty Services in St. Petersburg, FL. "VisualTour.com® provides us with all the benefits of eliminating the middleman: complete control of the virtual tour; the speed with which a tour can be created and hosted; and the cost savings of doing it ourselves." VisualTour.com® combines easy-to-use software and Internet based services that provide the agent with a self-serve turnkey solution to easily create and control a more thorough and complete Internet based virtual tour for about $25. Using VisualTour.com®, the agent takes photos using any digital camera, then downloads the pictures into the VisualTour.com® Wizard-driven software. The application steps the agent through the process and creates a comprehensive tour by arranging the photos in any order specified, prompting the agent to add text and voice annotations. The software can automatically stitch together multiple photos to create stunning wide-angle panoramas and full 360 views. The completed tour, which can incorporate as many as 50 images, is then automatically uploaded to the VisualTour.com® service for hosting. Links are provided to the broker's own website or other major real estate portals. Even after posting, the agent can easily make changes to a listing with no additional cost. VisualTour.com® also features built-in email messaging and paging, and allows the agent to brand tours with their own photo and affiliate logo. In 1999 about 5.5 million homes were sold in the U.S., and with 93% of all homes listed on the Internet, the usage of the medium for home searching is on a meteoric rise. A May 1999 survey conducted by the National Association of Realtors (NAR) found that 23% of all potential home buyers searched for a home on the Internet, and that 58% believed that online searching is extremely valuable or very valuable. The survey also found that 79% of users wanted detailed property information and 68% wanted multiple photos. (Source NAR news release at: http://nar.realtor.com/news/99releases/july/9099.htm) "Virtual tours are now being expected by home buyers and sellers, and providing as much detail as possible creates a more informed and qualified buyer for an agent," said Steve Jarrell, President of VisualTour.com®. "Today you see very few homes listed on the Internet with more than a single photo, let alone a virtual tour. We believe our self-serve solution offers the most complete and compelling solution for agents today. Through our partnership with MGI, real estate brokers and agents can now easily and inexpensively create and host comprehensive tours with VisualTour.com®." "VisualTour.com's® selection of our ZOOM Server technology for this ground-breaking solution affirms our leadership and ability to partner with others to address the Internet imaging market," said Andrew Jackson, MGI vice president e-Commerce Imaging and Corporate Marketing. "VisualTour.com's® extensive experience in the real estate virtual tour market helps us extend our solutions to this burgeoning market."
