VisualTour TV commercials win Emmy award

Kingsley Philmore displays EmmyPompano Beach, Florida: MARCA has captured an Emmy for the series of TV spots it created for VisualTour, category leader with more than 50% of the market in real estate virtual tours.

The three spots in the current campaign, primarily aimed at consumers in need of the services of real estate agents, feature debonair host "Kingsley Philmore" in humorous takes on what happens if you try to market a home without an agent who uses VisualTour.

A chocolate fondue in an open house bubbles over. Scented candles can't quite hide all the ambient scents. Treasured family pictures offer too much information.

MARCA Chief Creative Officer Armando Hernandez explains that the campaign, designed to solidify VisualTour's leadership position in the real estate industry, is based on insights into the real estate agent's trials and tribulations in getting homes ready to sell.

"Most consumers do their research online before buying big ticket items like cars and homes. With VisualTour, buyers can save time and find the home they're looking for before they even walk in the door." Hernandez continues, "We're not only telling real estate agents they need to use proven marketing media on the Internet. We're creating a level of expectation among consumers - both sellers and buyers - that their real estate agents should provide a VisualTour as part of their standard advertising strategy."

The spots air on networks such as HGTV, Fine Living and DIY, heavily watched by real estate agents as well as by home sellers and buyers searching for ideas and inspiration.

Hernandez concludes, "The campaign was a creative collaboration with director Nelson Cabrera, who brought the Kingsley character to life. As for the Emmy, it is the only award I've won that my mother recognizes. I win a One Show pencil and all she says is why didn't they give you a pen."
