the second part of this series we will look at even more free things
available via the Internet. We have found some additional photo
software.
SmartDraw
offers a 30-day free trial of SmartDraw Photo. Their website offers
a comparison chart of their product and 6 others available for picture
editing. They have a tutorial along with examples showing before
and after pictures of photo retouching, graphic creations, and photo
publishing. The software includes over 1000 stock images and a screensaver
creator. In order to download the trail version they ask you to
provide your name and email address. You can find SmartDraw Photo

Better
Homes and Gardens: At www.bhg.com
under the heading of Tools and Guides you can find a program called
Arrange-a-Room. This is an online program and not a download, but
it has some very unique abilities. This program will allow you to
enter the dimensions of any room and add architectural details such
as doors, windows, and closets. It will then prompt you to add furniture
or, in the case of a kitchen, cabinets, a refrigerator, and a sink.
With the plug-in that can be quickly downloaded it is possible to
print any room that has been created. While this program cannot
be used for legal documentation it can be used for showing furniture
placement.
Dictionary.com:
When you go to this site you have a choice of selecting either the
dictionary or the thesaurus. Also offered on this site is a tool
bar that can be added to your browser window and offers you immediate
access to the dictionary, thesaurus or even Word of the Day. This
makes adding the colorful descriptions to your tours that much easier.
