 VisualTour® of the Week

The Harker 5 Star Team of Keller Williams Realty in Dallas, TX provides us with a tour that uses hot spots throughout. They also provide us with a wonderfully descriptive tour when it comes to their text. Chuck Middleton takes the tour pictures and confided in us that since he has started using a monopod, his pictures stitch together perfectly every time. Just click on their picture and be transported to their website to see the other listings.

Click Here to view the tour.

If you have a tour that takes advantage of available features like scrolling photos, hotspots, banners, your agent photo, and voice, why not submit it for tour of the week? We would love to see it and share it with the world. Just email us a link at real-estate@VisualTour.com.

 This Week's Quote

"Slumps are like a soft bed. They're easy to get into and hard to get out of."

- Johnny Bench, Hall of Fame Baseball Player

 What Should You Write?

What type of descriptions should you write underneath your pictures? Well, think about it as you go around the house taking the pictures. Try to take an assistant with you when you take the pictures so that one of you can take notes about various things the seller talks about. Involve the sellers in the discussion about the various things that make their house special. Put into words all of the things that you know people will ask you when you're showing them around.

Make people use their imagination when it comes to hosting parties for kids and adults. Ask how many people they invited to their last sit-down dinner, and then use some of that when you write your description. "This formal dining room will easily accommodate twelve for your next dinner party."

Walk around the house and take close-up pictures of special items such a chandelier in the entry. Don't forget to mention the winding staircase that comes down from the second floor and how it would make the perfect setting for a family picture of their daughter heading out to the prom.

When you write about the bedrooms, include things like the ceiling fan that will make the room feel cool during the hottest nights, the special nook perfect for a chaise so that someone can read that special book, and the incredible built in shelves in the walk-in closet. Don't forget that the master bath shower has multiple showerheads.

Around the outside of the house include the new roof that was added only last year, the hot tub that can relieve all of their aches after the charity run, and that special area in the backyard with the built-in barbecue.
