HAVING TROUBLE GETTING YOUR VIRTUAL TOURS CREATED?

Since we started this weekly newsletter, we've been getting numerous inquiries from agents all over the country asking us why their virtual tour is delayed, not working, not linked, etc. Questions such as: "I ordered a virtual tour weeks ago. Why haven't you called me to schedule the photo shoot?" And, "Why haven't you sent out your photographer / videographer?" Also, "Why isn't our tour on-line yet?"

If you're already a VisualTour.com client, you can probably guess what's causing these inquiries. These nice (but frustrated) REALTORS have us confused with one of the "full service" virtual tour companies that promises "You make one phone call and we do all the work." Unfortunately sometimes "full service" translates into "poor service". In addition to contacting each of these people individually to help set them straight, we're going to attempt to clear a wide path here so everyone will have a better understanding of who VisualTour.com is, what we do, and what we don't do.

While there are a number of companies that create virtual tours, the best-known "full service" or service provider virtual tour vendor is a company called iPIX(r). Some people still think of them as "bamboo", although bamboo.com(tm) merged with IPIX over a year ago. And recently, the real estate virtual tour division of iPIX was sold to Homestore.com(tm), Realtor.com(r)'s parent company. Regardless of who owns them now, most Realtors think of iPIX when they think of virtual tours, particularly if it is a service provider created virtual tour. NONE OF THESE COMPANIES ARE IN ANY WAY RELATED TO VISUALTOUR.COM!

We'll try to define the important differences between a "service provider" virtual tour and VisualTour.com for you here.

One of the most common questions that we hear is "What is a VisualTour®, and how does it compare to the iPIX tours (or other brands) that I've used previously?" A VisualTour® is created and totally controlled by you, the agent, using a standard digital camera and your laptop or desktop computer. As thousands of our existing customers will testify, creating your own VisualTours® is FAST and EASY. VisualTour.com provides you with the software, training and hosting to enable you to create your own tours. IF YOU CAN USE A DIGITAL CAMERA, YOU CAN CREATE YOUR OWN VIRTUAL TOURS!

Why do thousands of agents create their own virtual tours instead of paying an outside service provider to create them? There are many advantages, but we'll talk about the four most important here. If you'd like to see a full benefits list to compare with your current virtual tour provider, click this link (or copy it into your browser's address window)

http://VisualTour.com/compare.asp

1. Cost - A VisualTour® costs $25 per tour vs. $99 or more for a tour created by a service provider. There is a one-time startup package fee of $499 that includes your first 10 tours ($250 value), software, online account setup, unlimited one-on-one telephone training and support (every customer is assigned a personal trainer), and hosting of your tours. After you've used the first 10 tours from your starter package, additional tours are just $25 each, purchased one at a time. Broker starter packages are also available to automate your entire office.

2. Control - YOU are in complete control of the tour. You use your sales skills and market knowledge to create your own unique tour instead of paying for a third party to provide a tour that's exactly like your competitor's tours. You can include up to 50 images (including panoramic 360 degree images if you like), text on each image, and even a voice overview. You completely control the content and quality of the tour, and you can even include pictures of the neighborhood, schools, parks in the area, etc.

3. Timing - You can have your tours on the web the same day as you get the listing instead of waiting 1 to 2 weeks. A VisulTour typically takes less than 30 minutes to create once you've taken the photos. No more scheduling photographers, waiting for processing, and guessing at the quality of the end result.

4. Diskettes - With VisualTour.com you can create an unlimited number of virtual tour diskettes for FREE. These diskettes can be used for open house give-aways, personal promotion, mailers, or whatever you choose. Other virtual tour companies charge up to $30 extra per tour for this feature.

We know there is tremendous confusion out there about your choices in virtual tour providers. We hope this helps clear up the confusion for many REALTORS. Contact us at info@VisualTour.com (or 800-873-0700 x230) if you still have any questions!

In future e-marketing newsletters we'll cover other marketing and photographic tips. Stay tuned!

CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORY OF THE WEEK - What do your virtual tours say about you?

"Ever since we at The Bluntzer Group began using the VisualTour.com system to produce virtual tours of our listings, we have seen a marked increase in our business. As we have become known in the industry for being on the cutting edge of real estate marketing technology, such as VisualTour.com, we were asked to speak at the RE/MAX National Convention in Spain last May. We also produce some of our VisualTours® in Spanish and French for our clients in Latin America and parts of Europe and email these tours around the world to those who may be potential purchasers for some of our properties. VisualTour.com is a must for the successful real estate practitioner who wants to significantly increase their business."
