Troubleshooting Flash Problems

The VisualTour Viewer requires Flash® 8.0 or greater to work properly. If you are seeing a black screen when you try to view a tour, it is very likely that Flash isn't installed properly on your computer. To ensure that you have Flash working properly, follow this instructions:

  1. Click here to go to Adobe's site and check to see if you have the latest version of Flash installed and operating correctly. You should see a rectangular box at the top of the page that says "Macromedia Flash Is Installed Correctly". In a smaller rectangular box it will say "You have Version xx.xx.xx installed." Look down the page a little further and see if you have the latest verson installed.

    If you can see the flash box at the top of the page, and you have the latest version installed then continue on to the "Pop-up blocker" issues page by clicking here. If you don't, continue to the next step.

  2. Click here to install the latest version of Flash. You do NOT need to install the Yahoo! toolbar, so uncheck that option, then select the "Install Now" button. You should receive a message stating that Flash was installed properly and you should see the Flash animation at the end of the installation. Try running your tour at this point.

    If Flash doesn't install properly go to the next step.

  3. If Flash doesn't install properly, you will need to uninstall it completely, reboot, then reinstall it. Click here to uninstall Flash. Select the appropriate uninstall, run, reboot, then return to step 2 above and reinstall Flash. If it installs correctly you should be able to run the tour.

  4. If you still are unable to get Flash working properly, click here to go to Adobe's site and follow their step-by-step instructions.

If the latest version of Flash is installed on your computer and you still can't view a tour, your computer is almost certainly blocking the tour from coming up with some type of popup blocking or ad blocking tool bar or software (Norton, Google toolbar, etc.) Consult your software's documentation to fnd out how to allow content from www.VisualTour.com to be displayed in your browser.
