Voice Narration

One of the ways your VisualTours attract home buyers better than simple slideshows or most videos is that you can include a voice narration on them. In fact, we give you two options:

  1. Use Our AutoVoice Narration Feature
  2. Record Your Own Voice Narration Per Scene

1. Automated Voice Narration

The AutoVoice Narration feature adds a synthesized narrative to accompany your VisualTours.

The default option is to add one overview narrative based on the Property Description text included with the tour. Or if you prefer, you can have AutoVoice narrate scene by scene. In either case, you can revise the actual text that a home buyer would read on the tour with something else you may prefer. You can also choose from four voice types: Standard Female, Standard Male, UK Female, and UK Male. If you work as part of a team, you may want to vary the voice type from tour to tour. You can also record an introduction one time that starts off your AutoVoice narrative. This allows you to personalize the narrative and introduce yourself to the buyers viewing your VisualTour. This introduction plays before starting the Overview or Scene narrative.

You can also edit the narrated text so that the synthesized voice speaks the words more accurately. While our iSpeech component is customized to narrate commonly used descriptive words for properties, it may still mispronounce a variety of words.

In this case, you can change the spelling of your text to allow the iSpeech voice to narrate using a more phonetically correct manner. You just click on Preview to hear the synthesized narrative before saving it. We don't save multiple versions of the revised text, so use the Preview feature before saving your text changes, as those changed words won't be visible should you wish to make future changes to the same text section.

2. Recording Your Own Voice

To record your own personal voice narration, you'll need an inexpensive microphone plugged into the sound card of your PC.

- Launch your VisualTour Studio software (Windows desktop users only).

- Open your chosen tour and click on the scene you wish to narrate.

- Click on the Record Voice icon on the left menu

The following action box will appear. Click the red record button when you're ready to narrate the scene. You'll want to practice with your microphone and sound card settings. So if you're not happy with the recording, just click the Delete button and start over. Once you're satisfied, click the Done button and your narration is saved to this tour. That voice file will accompany your tour when you upload it to your VisualTour.com account.
